Re: 68 f100 electrical problem
I had that problem back in72' w/ my 63' E100. Unfortunatly, the brain cells involved in the resolution are no longer reporting for active duty! Seemed like whatever the cure was, went against my better judgment at the time. Something about momentarily going to ground w/ a POS connection. This sounds like a question for "way2old" (who's also "old enough to know better").

Re: 68 f100 electrical problem
there are a bunch of possibilities for the meaning of fe, but to me it's most likely ford engineering.

Re: 68 f100 electrical problem
a common problem with the old fords is bad ground on the regulator remove the regulator and clean the surface if i stand correct the rugulator is of old point type open it and check the point and clean them or for about 20 buck you can replace it to check the alt for out put you put a jumpur wire from the f terminal to the batt terminal on the regulator its called full feilding
