Airbag light blinking
does anyone know what a 4-2 code is when the airbag light is blinking. Also can I fix it myself?

Re: Airbag light blinking
It looks like Ford has been pretty consistent over the years with the SRS LFC of 42, meaning "Restraint System — Impact Sensor Status (Front Impact Severity Sensor Circuit Failure)."
For older Fords, the code is defined similarly as "Center Radiator Primary Crash Sensor Feed/Return Open." Often these sensors get their ground through the mounting system, you might be able to clean the mounting area and bolt to clear the problem and code. For any further information we'll need details of your truck. -Rod |

Re: Airbag light blinking
Oddly, the factory service manual for a 2002 Mountaineer does not list an SRS LFC of 42.
