Front Suspension Replaced 00 Passat

I replaced the front suspension with one of the complete kits that you can purchase from ebay (I suspect most of you have seen them) Anyhow they include all the pieces except the shocks and springs. After replacing all of the pieces and putting a brand new set of michelins on along with an alignment the car isn't right. I noticed that the steering wheel tends to want to hold the position (meaning if you turn left it doesnt want to return to the middle on its own) also there is a humming noise coming form the front end now (wheel bearings have been replaced). Any help or insight as to what I may have done wrong would be great. Thanks!

Re: Front Suspension Replaced 00 Passat

Did you replace the tie rods inner/outer?
If the steering has memory steer like you say then either:
1- alignment was not done right
2- power steering pump is bad or fluid is low (might be the humming)
