355 swap
im dropping a 355 into my 82 z28. figured i'd post a build thread. i needed to order a few things for it before i put the engine in, so im waiting for all that to get here. on the way i've got: street fire dizzy(HEI), msd plugs and wires, new clutch, mini-starter, trans mount, torque arm bushing, pivot ball, solid motor mounts, and a full true-dual exhaust. also waiting to go in is a dakota digital dash.
the 355 is a bored out 350 from a 96 truck, so its got that nice 4 bolt main. it also has a lumpy after-market cam, aluminum hi-rise intake mani, and a holley 750 carb
the motor is currently stock 305 with a edelbrock 600 carb/intake.
4 wheel disc brakes on the dana 44 (10-bolt) rear with 3.92 posi.
HOPEFULLY, all the above parts will be in the car by this time next month. i figure when all is said and done i'll be making around double the stock power.
