the blend door actuator on a 1993 for taurus

okay experts, help. Is the a fuse that makes the the blend door actuator on a 1993 ford taurus work or not work

also, do I have to take the dash out to get to this.
I would put a question mark at the end of my questions, but the key is not working.

Re: the blend door actuator on a 1993 for taurus

Fuse 17 (15-amp) in the instrument panel fuse block powers both the blend door actuator and the A/C clutch field coil via the manual HVAC control head. I'm going to assume that you have the manual controls rather than the electronic automatic temperature controls (EATC). Does your A/C compressor engage when in A/C or defrost modes? If so, the problem is not the fuse.

If your car does have the EATC, it would appear much of the EATC would not work as expected.

Re: the blend door actuator on a 1993 for taurus

The ac compress. stopped working in the summer. I had thought it was because it was low on freon, so I did not use the a/c at all. I will look at the fuse box and no. 17. Thanks for the info.
