It rocks. Best racing game I've ever played. Great physics, the tracks look right, and an amazing selection of cars, including an easily unlocked Dale Earnhardt driving the famous #3 Goodwrench Chevy. The Thunder Plates can be annoying, but if you like that type of stuff, it's alright. EA finally got the drafting effect right, although Talladega isn't as wild as 2002 ('02 gave new meaning to 'white knuckle ride' on a video game). The lighting effects for the night race at Daytona are way cool, too, IMO. If you like a lot of cars, you'll love it. There are about 15 fake drivers, about 7 Legends, and a lot of Busch Series drivers. Plus, you can select different paint schemes for most of the NASCAR Winston Cup regulars.

I love the NASCAR Thunder games, and I love NASCAR in general, but I find the games really hard to play. Maybe I just stink at the games. If anyone else has these problems, let me know.

Re: New NASCAR 2003?

Eve, Sierra makes the games for the computer, EA makes the ones for consoles. I'm not sure if Sierra has tried to make a console game.

Re: New NASCAR 2003?

only good thing about these games are the crashes. they're way too easy, and all I ever do is go backwards and try to make the biggest pile-up

Re: New NASCAR 2003?

I tend to agree. After watching numerous races on TV (primarilly for the crashes) I've discovered the secret to NASCAR:

Step 1: Drive Straight
Step 2: Turn Left
Step 3: Proceed to Step 1
