Lightbulb Same old question. Cant find an easy answer.

Ok I have a stock 98 gt 114k on it. The motor is knocking really bad. I found a guy selling a 97 gtp motor with 101k on. He says its a complete motor from charger to oil pan. besides the fuel pump and harness what all is needed. I searched on here and cant seem to get a parts list.( or im blind and dumb) Labor isnt an issue. Im sorry for the repeat question. I came here first because you guys are the best of the best. Thanks ahead of time.

Re: Same old question. Cant find an easy answer.

You will need: Fuel Pump, Wiring Harness, PCM, Radiator, Axle Shafts, Transmission, new Fuel lines to accommodate the supercharger just to list the major components if you really want to undertake this. A direct swap with a NA 3.8 will be much easier and cost a lot less.

Re: Same old question. Cant find an easy answer.

I thought he was doing a direct swap. Putting a 97 L67 in a 98 GT. Is that possible? I think 97's might have slight differences but maybe 98's are the same way. I dont know.

You are correct. The 97 does have some differences but if you use a 97 PCM and wiring harness it should work.
