p171 p174 again!!

Anyone with any ideas?
About a year ago, the engine light came on, it was 171 and 174; I changed the isolator bolts and upper intake gaskets, but didn't change the valve cover. Last month, the light came back on, this time I bought the kit and changed everything, but noticed that the new valve cover didn't help hold back the oil from being sucked into the intake, it actually seemed worse. A day later, the light came back on. I found out that the IMRC bushings were bad; I changed those and the lower intake gaskets. Two days later, the light came back on. I already checked for other vacuum leaks and found none, externally.

The only thing that I could think of is that the oil, still getting in the intake, could have messed up the new isolator bolts.

I also noticed that someone on this forum mentioned something about a rocker bearing, I'm not sure what that is.

I really don't want to buy that lower intake, unless I know for sure that will fix the problem.

Could be...

Mass Airflow Sensor
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter

Good luck, I've had the same codes for years.

When I talked about the rocker bearing, it's because I had oil sucked directly into the combustion room, not into the intake, which is less worst.

Also, oil doesn't cause this code. Air does.
So it can be the MAF sensor, fuel filter, or clogged injectors.

A Windstar without having the check engine light is not a real Windstar.
