Bad brakes..now won't reverse.

Car was in the garage, waiting to get the brake pads and rotors changed (they were really bad, alot of grinding). Without my knowledge my daughter took the car and drove it many many miles. The car now won't reverse...feels like i'm hitting something. Any thoughts?

Have you jacked up the car to see if the wheels move freely? might be a good start.

No, I wonder if I have a jack. I'll check that out.

What kind of car is it? Sometimes broken brake shoe-return springs can make rear wheel drum brakes lock-up.

I'm sure this is obvious, but it's likely it's a brake problem. You will probably have to get it towed to your mechanic. Under the circumstances it's probably not safe to drive.
