2004 Silverado interior Noise in A/C
I have tried a search and could not find an answer.
2004 Silverado, base model with the twin heat/cool temp slides on the a/c control. When you have the temp set all the way to cold you can hear a click - click sound around the bottom of the dash. If you move the temp slides up just a bit then the noise stops. Also I have a light out in the passenger side slide. Can it be replaced? Thanks 2004 base silverado, 4.3 auto, standard cab. 70,000 miles

Well the cooler weather has put a stop to the noises, at least today it did. I will keep listening and checking.
Hey, how about the light that is out in the Slider control-passenger side, is there a exploded view somewhere?

The noise will come back.
Factory repair manual may be your best bet there. I would. Check parts place for replacement bulb and then. Pull control and have a look.

MT-2500, Thanks for the response.
I am going to try and get by a salvage yard and see if they have a control unit sitting out where I can look it over with out taking the dash apart this week. I bet there is a bulb in there somewhere to be replaced. Always a project to work on.
