2003 ford taurus stallin issues

hi there, i have a ford taurus, and it has this weird stalling problem. when i'm driving down the road all the dash lights will come on and then it will act like its stalling. its like it dies and comes back on and keeps going down the road. if i'm parked or at a light the speedometer goes haywire, bouncing up and down. then the car mite stall, not always. i seem to notice if i have the a/c or heater on it acts up worse. but now its seems that the blower for the heater or a/c isnt working at all. totally bummed.

Re: 2003 ford taurus stallin issues

Hmmm, do you happen to still have the original battery? It sounds a bit like the charging system is low, you might have a really weak battery or a bad connection somewhere. I'd start by having the charging system checked out. Many auto parts stores and Sears Auto Centers will provide such a service at no charge. Their testers are good for a check, it's unlikely they'd say a system was bad that wasn't bad. However, they might pass a system as "Good" even though it is too weak when heavily loaded, such as when the A/C is on, headlights are on, blower motor is running at high speed, brake lights on, etc.
