1996 z71 4x4

Ive got a 96 z71 4x4 that the rear end has gone out in. question is how do i tell what rear end is in it, and what will other rear ends will bolt in. will 2wd rear ends work?

on the passenger side of the rear axle are id numbers,,these face to the front of the vehicle...see what you can read use a wire brush to clean..

for less hassle install the same rear diff as before...
