2000 silverado cd player question

My cd player in my truck is a POS and i was wondering if a six disc cd changer out of a newer truck would fit? If so what year do i need to look for. thanks Mike

why ? WITH mp3 players you can load thousands of songs on a small flash drive/IPOD etc...cd players are obsolete....just like the 8 track ...
mp3 player won't skip or scratch...

well either way i will have to get a new radio because all the buttons are messed up. I get your point though.

your vehicle's radio can be replaced with no other issues..later models your screwed as this is part of the vehicles system control..

go to crutch field...this will help you decide what is in your interest of choice..I have used them before they offer great assistance in selecting and on install issues...

I use a IPOD on my silverado/impala with the stock radio/cd...when going on a long ride the ipod is held in a device that creates radio signals cost 100.oo a few years ago...this was the best model at that time of radio power so no interference ...works great 20GB is a lot of music...

then this device can be used in the home and you can play your IPOD thru your high powered audio equiptment...

just don't leave your IPOD in your vehicle when vacant...!
