Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

This is a car I always liked so I thought I build one. I am choosing to use part Tamiya & Fujimi kit. Hope it goes well.

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

Can you explain on what you plan on kitbashing? Old rear, new front? Any reference? I got the tamiya kit and it looks like a nice kit to build. Good luck!

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

Hey guys, Thanks for the replies. I will post some pics soon. I am taking the Tamiya body and adding parts from the Fujimi kit to complete the car. Tamiya body is more to my liking. If all goes well, I will have a great outcome.

Tamiya 24100 and 24101 are the same kit. Seems that Honda/Acura asked them to release one with the Acura name for the US Market.

Tamiya 24126 - NSX Type R is a distinct kit.

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

There are 3 different Tamiya NSX kits. The Acura kit (I have), Red Nsx kit (R hand drive) and NSX Type-R kit. I don't know all kit numbers. I wish Tamiya made the new version of the NSX-R so I didn't have to build mines this way.

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

The "Honda" NSX kit has both LH and RH dashboard, as well as Acura decals. (I just checked.)
My Acura NSX kit is packed away somewhere, but I'm sure the contents are the same.

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

Here are some pics

The body parts were cut off of the Fujimi and put on the Tamiya.

I am letting it dry real good before any other alterations.

The Fujimi wheel are too small so I used the outer rims from a Skyline R34 Nismo kit.

The wheels color choice will be white like the picture.

Re: Fujimi/Tamiya NSX-R

Some updates. I am liking how this thing is turning out.

First coat of primer. Car was primed and sanded after adding a few fixtures.

This was the final sanding.

Painted 3 coats of Tamiya white.

Painted body and wheels.
