Post 03 Sunfire problem, need help!

Hi,

I just bought a 2003 sunfire, 2.2L ecotec in it, its a 5 speed with 125 000 km on it, and just recently i have heard a kind of a whirring sound coming from the front of the vehicle when im driving down the road, i have checked the transmission fluid and have replaced it wih new ATF. but it still makes that whirring kind of sound, but when i press on the brakes it sounds like noise stops. it has new pads but it does'nt have new rotors. Any advice would be greatly apprectiated.

Thanks, Mike

Likely some surface anomalies between new pads and old rotors, and will disappear as they wear in. Meanwhile turn up the radio.

Did it start right after you changed the brakes?

If not than maybe a wheel bearing is starting to go bad? What speed do you start to notice it? about 30 mph?
