2000 Galant gtz ac last about 15min or less

I have a 2000 galant gtz which the ac don't last long. When you start to drive it and you turn the ac on you might get 10 to 15mins sometimes less if the day is hot. when you set it on, the ac light stays on solid and as soon as its over the lights starts to blink and a funny smell comes out like ac smell. I thought that was a sign letting me know that I needed gas, I went and got it charge and it keeps doing the same. When is on, is very cold and acts normal, but out of no where it stops working. Any tips of what makes it stop working? Im the original owner this just started happening this summer..

It could be a control head issue, Might have a mechanic look at the sensors/switches and make sure nothing is bad. I remember there being a TSB for the a/c light blinking or something, i'll check tomorrow at work and see if there is one.

oh wow sorry for the late reply I didnt know someone reply I didnt get an alert..Anyways please let me know about the tsb sensor you talking about for the ac...heat works great, is just the ac that dont want to stay on =(...thank you for your help
