96 f150 302 2wd P1351 Code
Need help identifying this code, its not in my book. Why have a code come up that you can't identify?
The damn book stops at P999! Any assistance would be a great help!

Could be a procedural problem. You might contact your scanner manufacturer &/or wander into the work bay at a Ford dealer & tap a mechanic on the shoulder. Or....... if you make an appointment, Pep Boys (the ones that do repairs) will scan it for free. Tell them your interested in the "Continuous Memory Error Codes" in addition to your P1351. There ya go! |

That code is for losing the Ignition Diagnostic Module signal at the PCM. More than likely a wiring problem or possibly the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is the cause.

Re: 96 f150 302 2wd P1351 Code
Long story short; the aftermarket world f****d this one up. Bascially if your OEM module was black make sure you get the black replacement and not the grey. The grey module has a resister that the 302, 351 E150, F150 and Bronco's do not use. I replaced the grey module tonight with the black (of course it cost more) and my check engine light has stay out and the truck is running much better, more power. Now I need to address the ticking sound coming from the engine. My baby has 175K on her and I want to get more! Always like a woman, wanting more!!!
