Cigarette lighter fuse keeps blowing! Help please!

1994 Chevrolet K1500. It has a accessory outlet with 3 plug ins. One of the three plug ins keep shooting the fuse. Before, it would blow the fuse as soon as you plug it in. I then replaced the cigarette lighter element itself and now it works when you plug it in, but blows the fuse when you unplug it? I'm clueless? Please let me know what could be causing this! Thanks!

I've seen some weird problems with these but are we about an add on three outlet assembly? If so you might want to check it out for shorts. I have even found where somebody had stuck a penny in the socket and it would blow everytime.
