Cool The Envelope, Please

Here's your AF lesson of the day. It's about the envelopes that appear at the left of your screen all day...

When you're on a page that's a list of threads, the far left column is a bunch of envelopes:
Yellow open envelopes are threads with new posts since the last time you viewed them.
Red open envelopes are threads with new posts since the last time you viewed them that have over 15(?) replies.
Blue closed envelopes are threads you've read since the last post was made.
Blue closed envelopes with little lines at the top are threads that have over 15 replies and that you've read since the last post was made.

Any envelope with a little black dot on it is for a thread where you have made at least one post.

Let us know if you guys have any questions.

Yeah, but the key doesn't say what the dots are for. I always wondered that until I figured it out about a month ago....

You mean, until I told you about a month before you posted!

I love bringing dead threads back up!

There's a link that says "quote" at the bottom right of each post. If you click it, you will be taken to a Post Reply screen with the quoted text already there for you to respond to.

Or, if you want to quote something else after you've started your reply, you can just click the "quote" button up in the vBcode section just above the reply box which will let you quote something from another thread or website... Just wanted to add that little morsel of supplement!
