Exclamation Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My younger brother just bought a 92-95 civic hatch. it has a b18c1 swapped in it. the car seems very sluggish during acceleration until the vtec engages even when it engages it still seems slow. i trying to figure out why its accelin so slow. there is no ck engine light and i can't find the connector for the obd system, the previous owner told him it was a obd 2. i was just wondering if maybe the fuel pump is not flowing enough for the engine??? or what its not missing out or anything just slow to accel. any help would be great thanks

i would do a compression test if i were you. i had a customer who would commute 120 miles daily on a really weak motor, and he just thought it ran bad.. also obd2?? there is probably a conversion harness to go up in obd.. probably wont find a data plug..
