SES keeps coming on

Hi,

Im having a problem with my 99 grand prix, I just recently put a fuel pump in it. Ever since I have been getting a ses light for the evap, the thing next to the pump on the tank is the fuel pressure sensor right?? there are two lines on that one is just a rubber hose that about a foot back has a plastic vaccum hose in it then doesn't connect to anything, i feel as if thats supposed to connect to something but I don't remember seeing it connected to anything, does anyone know if it does or why maybe the light is coming on, i checked everything else and it seems to be hooked up correctly. I never once have had that light until the new pump so its something I must have done. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Justin

Re: SES keeps coming on

It's possible the fuel sender seal ring didn't properly seat. It's a fairly common on this job, as it can be a bear to get the fuel pump module back down in the tank and the lock ring installed without liberally greasing that o-ring.
