2000 Windstar P102 code question

It was very sudden that the car started stalling out, slight pedal pressure will not keep it running and often when I depress the pedal it starts stalling and sounds like it's sucking air.

After a stall it will start immediately and idle for a few minutes like nohing ever happened. Then it will stall as though the fuel supply was shut off.

I have a P102 code for MAF sensor according to my tester.

Are these normal symptoms for a MAF failure?

I found part availability at NAPA for $139 and I am willing to drop my $ there before limping into the dealer.

Advice anyone?

Edit: I tried cleaning with the recommended cleaner with NO effect whatsoever.

Re: 2000 Windstar P102 code question

RESOLVED!

Lacking any other apparent possibilities/DTC's I replaced the sensor and all is well. It is odd that the defective sensor will disable the car, yet unplugging it allows it to run.
