Just recently My 99 Monte Carlo (automatic) is jerking alot while driving. This problem just started a couple days ago, after I drove from Baltimore back to Detroit. There was barely any trans fluid in it so I filled it to where it should be, but it keeps slipping while its changing gears. It also just started stalling out while driving, only when i slow down or Im sitting at a red light (it just stalled today as I was crossing a busy street, Scary!!) .
I was told there could be something wrong with the coil?? PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks =) |

Re: 99 MC Gear Slip, Stalls when i slow down
How many miles do you have on it?
Also what did the fluid look like (what little was left)? It sounds to me like you might have a leak somewhere. Or, if your year still uses vacuum adjustment for shifting (vacuum modulator, etc.) maybe a vacuum hose has come loose, or the modulator has gone bad? |

Re: 99 MC Gear Slip, Stalls when i slow down
it has about 107K miles on it. the fluids levels were good and a friend said it might be the vacuum? its not jerking so much anymore it just keeps stalling if i slow down, or im at idle. my air intake censor is also cracked, n i know that cant be good..
