2000 Silverado ADJ Fuel Regulator
I was wondering if anyone has installed an adjustable fuel regulator on a Silverado. Would it work? To me it is getting old changing mine every year. I think I have to change mine again. In the morning when cold it doesn't start right and when you pull out for the 1st time it hesitates.

the fuel regulators are not that much of an issue with these vehicles,,,,what fuel are you using,,? what is the fuel pressure? the fuel pressure needs to be around 60psi..50psi or 65 psi the engine won't run correctly.. |

Re: 2000 Silverado ADJ Fuel Regulator
Just did new GM fuel pump 2 months ago 59psi fuel pressure. Everything checks out on the fuel and vaccum areas. use 89 octane from Hess Gas Station. Tried different gas stations and different grades with slight improvement. When it tries to start sometimes you have to keep the starter going to help it out starting which lead me to beleive it is the fuel regulator again.

Re: 2000 Silverado ADJ Fuel Regulator
you might try changing the fuel filter. Don't see why you would have to change the regulator every year.

Re: 2000 Silverado ADJ Fuel Regulator
I had the same problem with my 1998 Silverado. I replaced the Fuel pump, Filter as well as plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Took care of the problem.

Re: 2000 Silverado ADJ Fuel Regulator
Within the last year I have replaced fuel pump, fuel relay, fuel filter , plugs, wires, and only thing that was not changed was the regulator.
