Re: emissions light

Check your gas cap, that sometimes sets that light off, if it is loose.

One time my gas pedal was pushed hard when in neutral, that emissions light stayed on for a couple days, then it went off with no problems.

If it stays on for more than a few days have your mechanic check it out when you get and oil change.

Unless you sense other problems with your engine, it shouldn't harm your vehicle for the light to stay on until you have it checked.

Re: emissions light

Have the code read, it could be a missfire due to needing valve adjustment. This happened on my 98 CRV not sure if your year is the same with the valves.
