Crankshaft pulley removal
OK Ive read the other posts but it doesnt seem like anyone else has had this problem yet. I have a 1994 honda passport with the 3.2 v6. about 15,000 miles ago i changed the timing belt on it and recently ive been havin trouble starting it so i replaced alot of crap on it and it still had the problem so i took a timing light to it and found out im about -45 degrees off zero so im working on takin it apart so i can try and realign everything and se if it still does it. no the problem ive came acroos is that i got the crankshaft pulley bolt off but i gcant get the actual crankshaft pulley off ive used three different types of pulley/ harmonic balancer tools to try and even fabricated one out of stronger and thicker steel and they keep bending but the pulley wont move
 . any suggestions would be awesome thanks P.s am new to the forums but not new to the site you guys have helped me with a bunch of other problems ive had so thanks

Just pulled mine off with this: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=37824
Had to chase the two threaded holes in the crank pulley so I could attach it. Use the pointed cone to self-center in the big bolt hole.

i have the removal tools its just that the pulley wont budge

Perhaps it is rusted in place. When I did my timing belt, I removed the bolt and the assembly just slid off the crankshaft. Maybe you need to apply some PB blaster to it.

+1 on the PB Blaster. WD40 won't do it.

finally got it off yesterday had to use a punch and hammer and tap around the back of it then use a 2 arm puller with a socket on the end to fit up against the crankshaft bolt hole just thought id update and tell them method i used in case anyone comes across this problem they have a possible solution plus i found out the original problem was the lower timing gear sprocket slot where the key lined up had stripped along with the key so i ended up replacing the sprocket key and pulley

Figured that was it since you had the pulley off for the tbelt change 15K ago. Do you think you might not have tightened the crank bolt sufficiently then?

i dont think it was that i torqued it properly last time i did it
