Hi, I'm new to this forum... I got on here to try to find out any info about my problem. My truck is a 1999 Dodge Dakota. In early spring the heater core, water pump, and radiator were all Replaced. Yet I still smell antifreeze Very strongly when the heat is on. both defrost and regular heat. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: smell antifreeze - NOT heater core
It may be that there is some antifreeze residue still in the vents. I had a similar problem, and the person I had replace the core washed out the defrost vents, and the smell was gone. I still get faint smells when I send it through the normal vents, but not through any others.
Hope This helps. |
