driving lights switch help

hi, i have an 01 cavalier and i wanted to hook up my aftermarket driving lights to the factory driving lights switch. what i would need are wire colors and what each of them do..... thanks in advance.

What I would do is splice into the headlight power at one of the headlights (use a test light to determine which wire is low-beam). Use that wire to feed power to a relay which switches power from the battery (add a terminal to supply the relay where the wire from the battery attaches to the underhood fuse panel). The headlight wires are not large enough to power the driving lights, so you do need a relay.

well i already have the lights hooked up and running, all i'm trying to do is change the driving lights switch to the factory cavalier d/l switch.
