evap???

ok so i have an evap emissions code and it wont stay off when ever i clear it ive looked at everything new gas cap vaccum lines everything cant find a leak so i have a part that i got from the previous owner. it was never put on due to couldnt find out where it is on the truck i have a 02 blazer ls 4.3 vortec 4x4 i have this part but dont know where it goes all i know is its some kind of evap emissions valve. it is an original GM part and i do have a part number if someone could cross reference or if theyve replaced it before or just plain old know what it is what its for or what it does i need to get inspected and the light wont stay off and i figured well i have this part i might as well put it on and see if it works here is the part number GM#25658328

The vent solenoid is a good possibility.

hey thanks alot number 15 seems to look like whatis in my hand and the part number matches so id say we have a winner evap emssn canister control valve ill have to get under there and see if i can find it thanks again for the link and i hope i can be of help to you in the future ill have an update as to if it keeps the light off and well if not the part is already paid for and at least i know it new LOL thats the only thing i fail for so far

hey thanks again so i replaced the control valve and whalahhh cleared theemissions code and seems to be staying off for now if i can ever be of help to you in the future i will sure do so
