99 Suburban won't start

Suburban running fine, turned it off then it would crank but not start. This happened a few weeks ago then again today. A few weeks ago it started the started the next day after sitting all night. Fuel pressure fine. Mechanic thinks it could be ignition coil or module. Any other ideas?

I think you are right regarding fuel issues. I gave up and took it too the mechanic so I should know Monday. Not a cheap fix if it is the fuel pump. Thanks for your help.

Got a delphi unit from these guys for my blazer... less than half price from the dealer. Cost less to install than the dealer price for the pump.

If it has the 5.7 or 7.4, how long ago was the distributor cap and rotor changed?

Re: 99 Suburban won't start

I use aerosol starting fluid to determine whether an issue like this is fuel or ignition related. If it starts, even for just a few seconds, after spraying in some starting fluid, then it's a fuel-related problem.

I just had my '94 Sub fuel pump changed a few months ago ($250), went out at 190K miles.
