Revell mongram news

I heard R/M is going to release the 66' Impala SS (after I paid so much for a resin one, damn) and a 2DR sedan 57 Bel Air. I presume they will be based/similar to their 65' and 55'-57' series. Anyone knows more definite information?

The 66 Impala will be based off the the previous 65 Impala. The 57 Chevy will be based off the recently released 150 Black Widow. Here is a photo of a test build of the 57:

As I learn more I will update. I also paln to be at the IHOBBY show at end of October and will take photos as I usually do.

Yeah...me too!

And the new Corvette C6R GT2 racer.

And the new 2010 Mustang (GT500 preferable).

Revell only announced antique cars the last go-round, they need to step up and do a few more modern subjects.

Yeah, it's not like I'm wishing for a Aston Martin DBS, Revell always does Corvettes and Mustangs, just like Tamiya always does Nissan Zs. Maybe it's the economy.

Yes, this exactly. I need not say anything else.

Re: Revell mongram news

The Revell member of our club said that the Promo Market has dried up, making it more difficult to crank out Corvettes, since they also did Promo versions. The last time I asked, the ZR-1 was still in the discussion stage. I will ask again if he is at our club meeting on Saturday.

Bu, an Aston Martin DB5 will be better than a Corvette, Mustang, or a Nissan that there're already too many already from any year!

Re: Revell mongram news

My guess is that the '09 ZR1 kit will be released around 2060 as a classic sports car series.

I can't say anything more than it is still on the consideration list. I will have more information at the IHOBBY show in a few weeks. I intend to do the usual photo shoot with as much info as I can get
