Cool 1992 Buick Regal Gran Sport 4Dr: Vibration

after going through 50 + pages i decided to post a topic. I purchased this vehicle for 275 bucks. the previous owner advised a vibration when accelerate to about 50-55 mph. So fist off i checked all tires the presser was low in all and right rear tire, had belts broken so put donut on. But b4 all that i drove down the road quite a bit, accelerating to 50 mph trying to figure if the vibration is front end, or engine or possibly tranny. so i have started the proccess of elimation. air tired to specs. that didnt do it.

(runs fine, untill go to rev up there feels like a miss, or what i am thinking is a clogged injector, so pay day i am goign to do the injector cleaner thing, Also change tranny fluid and such.) this should give me a good base line. The plugs and wires have been replaced, ( Possibly maby a weak coil pack?)

(Oh has 208K miles, But keep in mind payed 275 bucks for it....LOL)

any way, after doing tires, still vibrates, doesnt really lose power, nothing other than vibration. i have done various things to try and eliminate. In my experance with VIBRATIONS, if its something with the front end, MOST of the time you feel it in the steering wheel. Not the case here. anyway around 50 mph it starts vibrating, i let off the gas it goes away, and step back on gas, accelerates just fine, no VIBS. SEEMS TO Do it when switching from drive to over drive, (so when gas it to get to drop a gear, goes away,)

next thing i wanna do is just make sure there is no play in the ball joints. etc. but i think i have got it down to being a tranny problem. going from Park to Reverse, Or N to D there's a noticeable jerk, or clunk how ever you wanna say it.

I know this is a long post i a sorry just trying to explain the Situation,

Oh the Check gauge thing comes on and off, [i dont think thats the same as SES or Check engine light or what ever. so not sure if it stores a Code or not.

I would greatly appreciate a little advice. Who ever would be willing to help me, My Messenger for yahoo is [email protected] and msn is [email protected]. I would even go as far as settign up my video camera, to get a little more, understanding what is going on. Thanks and sorry, for being new, and such a long post.

Look for bad engine and transmission mounts. Also, check the CV joints in the drive axles.
