installing a replacement AM/FM radio

How do I fill the hole in my dash with a new radio. It is a 1989 Toyota Corolla with the factory two speakers system. My radio has a power wire, an antenna wire, speaker wires, but there is not a socket to plug into the factory sockets. I do not know what sockets are power or speakers.

I have a probe unit tool, a multimeter, a continuity tester, and a circuit tester; I'm half way smart with using these tools.

get a wiring harness that is specific to your car and headunit. Wire up one side to the headunit and plug the other side into cars harness. You may also need a mounting kit to fill in any gaps.

I want to skip the extra charge of buying the install kit; That's plan B.
Plan C is pay someone else to install the radio!

Right now, I'm trying to complete Plan A- attach the wires from my radio and connect them to the wires I cut off of the factory connectors.

the harness is like $10-15 at most places. You'll save yourself alot of pain if you just go and buy it
