2009 Focus SES Coupe spoiler
Does anyone know if the UGLY rooftop spoiler that comes standard on the 2009 Focus SES coupe can be removed easily or is it bolted onto the car? It appears to be just put on with adhesive of some sort. The car looks ridiculous with the spoiler and I REALLY want to have it removed. Possible?

Re: 2009 Focus SES Coupe spoiler
It's possible but probably not possible w/o messing up the paint. One trick for removing adhesive attatched accessories or dealer logos is to take a length of dental floss and work it back and forth underneath the offending object until it comes out the other side. If you heat it up first with a blow dryer it works better. Afterwards use lacquer thinner sparingly to clean it up.

Re: 2009 Focus SES Coupe spoiler
That's what I'd say. Take it to a body shop. They can remove it, but will have to sand it down and repaint the bodywork. I think they look pretty good, but maybe you don't want to be noticed so much. I've been looking for one for my Aveo hatchback. If you get your's off will you sell it to me? Anybody know where I can get one?

Re: 2009 Focus SES Coupe spoiler
Usually spoilers are attached with actual hardware and the foam is used as an anti-vibration anti-scuffing material.
