Question Sparkplug wire routing.

The sparkplug wires going to the rear bank on my 95 Buick LeSabre are routed down under front of the intake cooler manifold to the front of the engine behind the altenator. I don't see how the mech. got them there as it is such a tight fit.
All of the diagrams I look at seem to show the wires going over the top of the engine not jambed down in there. Does anyone have a clear picture or diagram showing exactly how they should be routed. Thanks, Emmett

Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

This pic shows how the wires were routed from the factory on a '95 LeSabre.

Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

I just replaced my wires. Mine go over the top of the UIM. I Can go out later and take a picture. Someone else may be able to get one up sooner.

If I remember right, I had little guides on top of the plastic intake. They are molded into the plastic. Maybe not.

I do know they go over the top of the intake.

Chris.

Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

Here is a pic I just took. Even tho it's smaller then the max allowed, it doesn't work.

Very interesting pic if I could put it here. What if I emailed it to HotZ28 and he could post it?

Guess it could be different in 97. I missed the year in my first post.

Chris.

The Pic that HotZ28 Posted is 100% correct for a 1995 Lesabre

Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

OK, looks like they improved it in 97. Wish I could post my pic.

Chris, you can send me a PM with a hosted web pic & I will post it for you; however, I think the pic below is sufficient to show the difference between the Series I & Series II engines. BTW, the 1995 LeSabre had the Series I engine.

Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

Mine is a little different then the pic you posted. Where does your wires disappear to?

Smile Re: Sparkplug wire routing.

Thanks guys for all the info and the pics. HotZ28's picture is like mine should look but the mech. crammed the wires down further between the alternator and the coolant manifold. I'll get it down now. Thanks again, Emmett.
