93 Suburban 5.7L cylinder pressure
I have a 93 Suburban that I am trying to troubleshoot for a rough running.
I have checked the cylinder compression. Can anyone tell me what the compression should be? 1-185 2-190 3-195 4-190 5-192 6-187 7-185 8-186 Thanks |

Quote:
The main thing is not over 10-14% difference between cylinders. Different engines and years will have different readings. From 125 -175 on different engines depending on compression ratio is normal

Re: 93 Suburban 5.7L cylinder pressure
Thank you. Think I finally found the problem with this truck. One of the spark plug wires was laying on the wIres going to the coil. It must have been causing erratic signals.
Now the tach is smooth and the truck is running well. Thanks all |
