96 Hyundai Cyl 1 Misfire
Hey everyone,
So, my 96 Accent GT (122k miles) daily driver has developed a misfire in cylinder 1 that I can't seem to track down. Initially, I thought it was either the wires, coil or spark plugs, so I replaced all of those items. I figured might as well do it all, seeing how I bought the car second hand and didn't know when the last time these things were done. Alas, that didn't solve the problem. So I did some switching around to see if I can get the misfire to move to another cylinder. No luck. Still No 1. The next step I took was I removed the injectors and had them flowed to see if one of them was clogged or simply failed. Again, they flowed perfectly. After that, I did a pressure check. 180psi across the board. I checked the radiator and overflow tank to see if they're was any oil in it (and vise-versa for the oil). Nothing. I'm stumped as all get out right now. I plan on starting the car and checking the radiator for bubbles, other than I'm COMPLETELY out of ideas. Any suggestions would be great! |
