2002 Accord: SRS Light always on

2002 Accord has SRS light always on now. Before it would go away in 6 seconds or so. How to rectify it. I had one guy with a small scanner look it up, and it showed no codes. This scanner is good for any car from 1996.

Would merely taking the bulb off the SRS indicator help or am I in any danger from this light on.

Thanks All.

Far as I know the airbag will not deploy if the SRS light is active.

There was an issue with this on models around your year, but I can't remember what the deal was.

Try searching this forum or check the NTSA ODI defects and recalls site online...you might find it.

I have a 04 Accord, and the seatbelt latch was the culprit on mine. Apparantly it has a lifetime warranty on that occurance.
