Renault R23
Finally finished this one off. Not such a bad kit, few points that could be improved upon, but I'm generally happy with the way it turned out. Apologies for the pictures, they aren't particularly good. For some reason my camera just couldn't seem to capture it very well and the colours seem washed out...??
I tried various positions, inside, outside, in the sun, in the shade, but to no avail.... The Zero paints look perfect in real life and once again were a joy to use. The tyres are somewhat shiny and the pictures really emphasise this fact. They are not so shiny to the naked eye though, so I didn't flat coat them. I may give the tread area a light sanding as the wheels slip on and off quite easily. Hoping for my next build to be the Fujimi Ferrari 87/88C when it's released....?? With any luck it will be sometime soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Renault R23
Looks brilliant Steve, really clean and excellent paint! I really need to get a compressor to go with the airbrush I bought about 3 years ago to give these Zero Paints a try, from what I have read it is a lot less effort to obtain a superb finish such as the one you have obtained with a lot less effort than when using Halfords acrylic spray cans for example!

Re: Renault R23
Very nice model from you again! Maybe you should give the tyres a light sanding.

Re: Renault R23
Great work Steve. Getting photographs of models to look like the model looks to the naked eye is really, really difficult. And you don't need to do that to see that this model is fabulous.
