temp in rearview mirro 99 tahoe

I have a 99 tahoe and the rearview mirror has the auto dimming, compass, and temperature. My question is the temp is not working right, when its like 80 out it will flash ICE and read -12. I checked and it is on Farenheight so what do i need to do

the sensor is mounted in the grill area,,check that the connector is correct/wires..may be you need a new one...see what new one looks like then this may help yu find it but there isn't much elctrical in the grill..
