Have 97 cav 2.2 5-speed. Having trouble ingaging into gear when shifting from first to second. Some of the time. Then today it happened when triyng to go to reverse. There is no weir noise just seems like it stays in neutral. Don't see any fliud leaking. Clutch master is full. Could it be shift cable is stretched,or master is bad. Don't know much about manuel trans. Please any ideas!!

Re: Tranny help
can you feel it go into gear when you shift but when you let off clutch its like you arent?
slave could be sticking open too... if this even has one lol. you could always try the old shift gears without the clutch thing and see if it still happens, just pick the right rpm. |
