2002 Blazer fuel filter replacement

Where is the fuel filter on my 2002 Blazer (4dr)? The manual says the left frame rail but it looks like it might be above the fuel tank. What are the tips on changing this filter?

Thanks,

George

Unless it was moved on newer model years, it should be approximately under the driver's seat, inside of the frame rail.

To change it, you will need two wrenches (may be a 15 and 17 mm wrench)to remove the nuts on one side of the filter, while the other side has a pinch type connector that you squeeze 2 tabs against the fuel line while pulling the connector out of the filter housing.

I'll take another look, I must have confused the sender/pump assembly attachments on top of the tank. Also, where do you relieve the system pressure before disconnecting the filter?

Thanks,

George

Thanks Mike, it was right where the assembly plant left it - as you suggested.

What is the trick for getting the fuel lines back in the top bracket slots. I can't get any leverage to squeeze them in.

Thanks,

George
