Electrical quirks
03 wouldn't start, 4 cyl. Towed it to shop. They replaced the camsensor. Since then a few odd things are/have happened. 1. The time on the clock went back several hours. 2. When you use the remote door lock the horn sounds extremely anemic. 3. Some times on starting the revs jump up momentarily before falling back to normal. I don't think it's anything the shop did. They are pretty good guys. They see no codes with their tester. I'm thinking BCM from reading through the forum. Oh yeah, it has 69K miles and now the dome lights work, on and off when opening and closing doors. Never used to work. Ideas?

Re: Electrical quirks
The BCM is possible but make sure the battery and charging system is good or checked out first. Also, check the battery positive and ground cables and terminals.

Re: Electrical quirks
Well it turns out the battery had a dead cell. Replaced that. Then the car still wouldn't start. Hauled it down to my local shop and they reset the PassLok monster. Car is for sale, wife wants a Toyota.

Re: Electrical quirks
Cost less than $10 to fix the Passlock system with a few simple hand tools, ohm meter, and resistor(s).

Re: Electrical quirks
Yes. The pass lock work around that I found here worked quite well. Did that about 6 months ago and haven't had a problem since. Thanks!
