Re: code 66

sorry for the delay--3 years--
CCD --chrysler collision detection bus--not the airbags, mind you, but a proprietary communication bus [circuit] chrysler uses to connect all the control modules together for intercommunication purposes. its in the middle of the powerbox uphill from the battery-- its a lightweight system for intercommunication. the ign switch, brake light sw on the pedal, prndl selector and lockout cable, body control module, [bcm], the powertrain, control module, [pcm], transaxle control module, [tcm], mechanical instrument cluster [mic], overhead travel info center [otis], airbag cm,
vehicle t security system[vtss] and the environmental control head all communicate with each other.

speedo shutting down as well as the car shutting down means crucial info isnt getting to the pcm. there's a connection problem-- you can buy a used diagnostic manual online for 30.00 and the light comes on-- theres a lot of splainin in there--very helpful--
