Re: 92 GM codes

By the way, one of the codes is the "flexible fuel sensor" Where in the world is that?

Re: 92 GM codes

116 is the coolant sensor is not reading correctly
176 and 177 are for the drivers front O2 sensor is both rich and lean. This usually indicates a bad sensor.
542 and 543 are for fuel pump has lost voltage sometime in the past. If a relay has been removed with the key on, it will set this code.
You have no code for a flexible fuel sensor.
Click here and go down to the 3 digit codes.

Re: 92 GM codes

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I should replace the 02 sensor. The engine light comes on for about 3-4 minutes, goes out, then runs rough for about 3 miles. It then runs smooth again till the next cycle of light, rough running, etc. Does that sound like 02 sensor? Btw, the drivers side doesn't have 02 sensors, just pass side....on mine anyway! Thanks again

Re: 92 GM codes

So you have a single exhaust? I am used to the CVPI dual exhaust. So if that is the case, replace the front sensor.

Re: 92 GM codes

Boy do I feel stupid! I didn't realize the 02 sensor was on the exhaust manifold! One on each side. I DO know however there isn't one AFTER the cat on drivers side. so I'll replace the drivers side and see what happens! Thank ya sir. Btw looks like ya got some good auctions. I might look into it in a few months. I'd love to have a p.i.
