whats the dif's between a regular intake and a name brand intake?

what i mean by regular is.getting the intake pipe and filters that they sell at your local auto shop store..that, and a name brand one? whats the dif performance wise and sound? i know im not gonna get much hp gains. but i'm hoping it'll make my car sound much nicer. i've read post about making your own intake..so i decided that just buying the already pipe and filter would probably be the same as the do it your self intake??
so..if i was to get one at the local shop..(im not an intake expert) do i need a tweeter?(if thats the correct term) and should there be a place for me to install that when i'm installing the pipe and filter??do i need to do anything with the car? or just turn it off? what about the left over resonator box?(the square box that's connect to the pipe).do i take that out or leave it?.well give me all the info you know about installing and any anything else that'll help me out..thanks.

the difference between a no name intake and a brand name intake is that the brand name one will be tested and have a lot of R&d time behind it so it can make the most power. i have never heard of a tweeter that has to do with an intake systemand i don't think there is one. you also would be better off removing the resonator that is located in the right side of the front bumper to maximize air flow to the intake.

tweeter??? Not sure about that one but the install is pretty straight forward. Just unscrew te stock intake lines to the throttlebody and then remove the stock intake and the resonator box. You will probably have to remove the front bumper to take out the resonator box or fit the extension for a COLD Air Intake if you get one of those.
Hope this might help you out additionally...

are you talking about the BREATHER. this is the little filter that is attached to the valve cover. instead of getting a breather you should go with a catch can cause the breather could leak oil into your engine bay and if you get the catch can it will collect any of the oil that is blown out through the valve cover unlike the breather that just lets the oil leak out.
