FIAV plate
I installed an FIAV (Fast Idle Air Valve block of plate) into my Throttle body to try and eliminate my idle surge. Well it didn't fix my problem but it has started a new problem.
When the car is cold, it wants to stall out so I need to tap the gas every few seconds so it doesn't stall. Well I'm assuming that this is because I put in that plate and so it doesn't fast idle when cold anymore. What can I do besides pull out the plate to solve this issue? Is there something in LINK that I can adjust to compensate for this difference? Also I now have a Coolant indicator light, it's always on when it's cold and it stays on for a while until eventually it goes out. Do I need to loop the coolant lines at the throttle body to fix both these issues? Or will that do nothing? Looking to get this fixed asap. Any input/opinions would help. |

Re: FIAV plate
Loop the lines on the TB and deal with the cold starts. It can't be THAT bad with 650s. I have a ton of fun with my 1000s in sub 60* temps.

Re: FIAV plate
It's like every 5 seconds or so I just need to tap the gas. Would looping the lines take the indicator light away? I'll probably pull the FIAV plate off this winter, we'll see what happens.
