2002 impala LS stalls

I have a 2002 Impala LS that does not like me. I've had it for three years and virtually no problem until last May. The car would stall out, especially going under 30. I did research and figured it was the crankshaft position sensor. It wasn't. So next I replaced the fuel pump and got it cleaned. It ran fine for about a week then stalled and didn't start back up, this is the first time I couldn't get it started in less than a minute.

Symptoms:
-Turning feels a little sticky, though could just need an alignment.
- When driving slow, under 30mph, car occasionally feels like it is revving up.
- Fuel pump sensor IS shot, I have to replace it.

There are no awkward sounds from it. My only other thought is that the coils/plugs need replacement. I'm at ends meet, I am shipping to bootcamp in a few months and need the car fixed asap so that I can use it to drive to my base when out.

Please help!!

My son's 03 had a stalling problem, and after alot of trouble shooting it came down to an ignition module problem.

Re: 2002 impala LS stalls

I'd check the fuel pressure regulator. I saw a video on Youtube based on my favorites, and it said the symptoms of problems with GM 3.1 and 3.4 V6's FPR are hard starting, stalling, poor fuel economy, or the smell of gas.
Indicating internal problems of the FPR. I bought one on a whim while checking my application to work in a parts store (that's another unsuccessful story), and will replace it at my father in laws' place this weekend, I'll post what difference it makes if any.
