Question Hub Bolt

Hey by chance does anybody know what size the hub bolt is on a 1998 cav Z24 with an A/T ? I live 60 miles from the nearest parts store so I am hoping to be able to order everything online for it rather than running the risk of blowing the already failing C/V on the trip to the parts store any help would be appreciated thanks.

Re: Hub Bolt

2004 is 30mm, I'm 99% sure yours is the same.

Re: Hub Bolt

Having just done wheel bearings this past weekend on a 98 Z24....

I used an 1 1/8 deep socket, and it was a rough fit on the nut on the car, and perfect on the one on the box. 30mm would probably have been perfect on the one the car had.

You`ll need a breaker bar. A big one. Unless you have air tools.

If you`re gonna do the bearings too, or need to yank them for clearance, make sure you have a t55 torx bit. I had to borrow one. That`ll be my next investment.

Again, get an adapter to go from 3/8 to 1/2 drive for that torx bit to go to your breaker bar. Unless they`ve been out recently, they`ll be a fight.
