2000 Mailbu windshield defroster not working.
All last winter I couldn't get any hot air onto my windshield. I got it fine thorugh the regular vents but nothing hit the windsheild and it would take a half hour before I could actually see well enough to drive. Could this be anything other than the blower motor?

Re: 2000 Mailbu windshield defroster not working.
If you're getting air flow through your dash vents , then the blower isn't the problem . The device ( under the dash ) which directs the air to whatever position you have selected is usually controlled by vacuum and you may have a vacuum line that has come disconnected . Check under the dash for a loose vacuum line . Also , it could be one of the hoses ( that carries the air flow to the appropriate outlet ) has come loose . Check for that as well .

Thanks. What's the easiest way to get to the vacuum lines? Are they behind the control pannel or accessable from where the blower moter is?
